A late afternoon at a rocky lakeside landing reachable only by boat, telling on our hearts around a small fire.
When we left, I watched from the bow as the sun struck the shallow water into an emerald glitter and pocketed our beach of secrets with velvet-black undershadow.
I can’t share what we revealed to each other that day. But I can show where we cracked ourselves open.
